Tall Cocktails


Tropical Flavors

Cassie's Mojito

  • 2x ~5-inch stems worth of mint leaves

  • 1 slightly heaping teaspoon white sugar

  • 2 shots lime or lemon Bacardi, or to taste

  • half+ a lime, wedged

  • Club soda

  • Ice

Collins Glass

Add mint, sugar, rum, and 3/4 of the wedged limes to a glass.

Muddle, muddle, muddle, until the sugar is dissolved and there is a strong Mojito aroma.

Add ice until 1-inch from the top, then top with club soda.

Garnish with last lime wedge.

Dad's Mojito

  • 2 parts Bacardi Limon Rum

  • 6-8 Mint Leaves

  • 2-3 Lime Slices Sprite

  • Lime wheel

  • Extra mint leaf

Collins Glass

Add rum, mint leaves, and lime wedges to a tall glass. Muddle.

Add ice to glass and top off with sprite. No simple syrup is needed when using Sprite. Garnish with a mint leaf and a lime wheel on top of the glass.

Dad's Cruiser

  • 1 oz Vodka

  • 1 oz Coconut Rum

  • 1/2 oz Peach Schnapps

  • 1 1/2 oz Pineapple Juice

  • 1 1/2 oz Cranberry Juice

  • 1 1/2 oz Orange Juice

Pint Glass

Blend all ingredients together, pour over ice.

Garnish with an orange slice.


Dad's Funship

  • 1 1/2 oz Bacardi Light Rum

  • 1 oz Vodka

  • 1/4 oz Amaretto Almond Liqueur

  • 1/4 oz Apricot Brandy

  • 1/2 oz Pineapple Juice

  • 1/2 oz Orange Juice

  • 1/2 oz Lime Juice

  • 1 splash grenadine syrup

Pint Glass

Blend all ingredients together, pour over ice.

Garnish with an orange slice.


Dad's Island Lime Cooler

  • 1 Part Bacardi Limon

  • 1 Part Margaritaville Lime Tequila

  • 1 Part margarita mix

  • Ice

  • Sprite or Club Soda

Collins

In the shaker, add a few ice cubes to the shaker and add rum, tequila, and margarita mix.

Shake to mix. Fill your glass with ice, pour into glass (strain ice cubes in the shaker), top off with sprite or club soda to taste.

Double, triple the recipe as needed for additional drinks.

Lindsay's Taste of Bali

  • 2 oz Malibu rum

  • 2 oz coconut water

  • 4 oz pineapple juice, divided into 2 oz and 2 oz

  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice

  • Floater of choice (dark rum)

Collins

Mix rum, coconut water, 2 oz pineapple juice, and lime juice, and shake over ice until cold. strain into glass with ice. Top with remaining pineapple juice and add optional floater of choice.


Sun on the Beach

  • 2 parts Vodka

  • 2 parts Cranberry Juice

  • 1 part Peach Schnapps

  • 2 parts Orange Juice

Collins

Mix on the rocks, stir. Garnish with Orange Slice.


Bahama Mama

  • 1 oz Light Rum

  • 1 oz Coconut Rum

  • 0.5 oz Dark Rum

  • 2 oz Orange Juice

  • 2 oz Pineapple Juice

  • Splash of Grenadine

Collins

Serve on the rocks. Garnish with Orange Slice and Cherry.


Hurricane

  • 2 ounces dark rum

  • 1 1/2 ounces white rum

  • 2 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice

  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice

  • 1 ounce passion fruit syrup

  • 1 teaspoon grenadine syrup

  • Orange wheel, for garnishing

Hurricane Glass

Shake it up with ice, pour into a hurricane glass for extra authenticity.


Beachcomber

  • 1 part Light Rum

  • 0.5 part Dark Rum

  • 0.5 part Triple sec

  • 0.75 part Lime Juice

  • 0.5 part Falernum syrup

Old Fashioned

Shake all with ice and strain into ice-filled short glass. Garnish with lime wedge and cherry.


Cozy Flavors (Winter Cocktails)

Harry Potter Butterbeer

  • 1 ounce vanilla vodka

  • 1 ounce butterscotch schnapps

  • 1/2 ounce dark beer

  • 10 ounces Jones cream soda

  • whipped cream

Stein

Pour vodka, schnapps,and beer into a glass mug.

Slowly pour in the cream soda. Allow bubbles to dissipate.

Top with whipped cream, and pour a bit more cream soda over the whipped cream until glass is full.

Russian Fireside

  • 1 1/2 oz vodka

  • 1 oz kahlua

  • 4 oz creamy oat milk

Serve hot in clear coffee mug

Add vodka and kahlua to glass.

Add oat milk to a milk frother and froth until hot and frothy. Pour over liquor. Gently stir.


Spicy Fireside

  • 1 1/2 oz spiced rum (like Kraken)

  • 1 oz kahlua

  • 4 oz creamy oat milk

Serve hot in clear coffee mug

Add rum and kahlua to glass.

Add oat milk to a milk frother and froth until hot and frothy. Pour over liquor. Gently stir.


Pumpin Spice White Russian

  • 2 parts vodka (can do vanilla vodka)

  • 1 parts kahlua

  • 1 to 2 parts pumpkin spice creamer (base on preference for sweetness)

  • Optional glass rim: 3 parts crushed graham crackers, 1 part sugar, 1 part pumpkin pie spice

Old Fashioned

Rim glass if desired. Dip glass in lemon juice then dip in mixture.

Shake ingredients over ice until just chilled. Pour into glass.

Garnish with optional whip cream, pumpkin pie spice, or cinnamon stick.

Classic Hot Buttered Rum

For the spiced butter (4 drinks)

  • 6 tablespoons salted butter

  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • ÂĽ teaspoon nutmeg

  • ÂĽ teaspoon allspice

For each drink

  • 1 ½ tablespoons spiced butter

  • 2 ounces rum

  • 6 ounces boiling water

Serve hot in clear coffee mug

Make the spiced butter: Roll the butter with a rolling pin until it is flattened. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Use a spatula the butter together with the sugar and spices until everything is incorporated. Use immediately or refrigerate until making the drinks.

To make the drinks: Add 1 ½ tablespoons of the spiced butter to each glass. Add rum and boiling water and stir until combined. If you like a sweeter drink, top with whipped cream.

Candy Cane

  • 1.5 oz Peppermint Schnapps

  • 1.5 oz Vodka

  • 3 oz Dairy-free half and half (full fat oatly works well)

Coupe Glass

Shake all in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a coupe glass.

Garnish with some red sugar crystals.

Butterscotch Eggnog

  • 2 oz Irish Cream

  • 2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps

  • Nonalcoholic Eggnog

  • Nutmeg

Old Fashioned

In an old fashioned glass with ice, combine the liqueurs. Fill to the top with chilled eggnog. Stir.

Garnish with a little nutmeg.

Wintery B-28

  • 3 oz Irish Cream

  • 0.25 oz Coffee Liquer

  • 0.25 oz Amaretto

  • 0.25 oz Butterscotch Schnapps

Old Fashioned

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice and stir.

Strain into a old fashioned glass.

Floral and Fruity Flavors

Lavender Blossom (NEEDS TWEAKING!)

  • 1 oz Lavender-Infused Gin (see below)

  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice (juice from ~half a lemon)

  • 1/2 oz simple syrup or honey syrup

  • 3 oz Ginger Beer/to top of glass

  • Garnish with a lemon wedge

Collins

Shake everything except the ginger beer and garnish over ice until cold, strain into glass with fresh ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish.

Cran-Apple Sour

  • 1.25 oz Berentzen Apple Liqueur

  • 1.25 oz Vodka

  • 1.0 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

  • Cranberry cocktail juice to taste (a splash)

  • 1.0 oz Club Soda/to top of glass

  • Lemon slice (garnish)

Collins

Add all ingredients to a glass over ice and stir. Garnish with a lemon slice.

Summer idea: sub out the lemon and cranberry for lime cordial.


Spirit-Forward Cocktails (Martinis, etc)


Hemingway Daiquiri

  • 1.75 oz white rum

  • 0.75 oz Luxardo maraschino liqueur

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • 0.75 oz fresh orange juice

  • 1 lime wheel (garnish)

  • 1 brandied cherry (garnish)

Coupe Glass

Add all except garnish to shaker except for garnish with large ice cubes, and shake vigorously. Strain into cocktail glass.

Garnish with lime-cherry flag.

Caribbean Cosmo

  • 1 1/2 oz rum

  • 1 oz cranberry juice

  • 1 oz triple sec

  • 1/2 oz lime juice

Martini Glass

Shake all with ice and strain into martini glass.

Garnish with orange peel.


Posh Pear

  • 2 parts grey goose la poire vodka

  • 1/2 part elderflower liqueur

  • 1 part fresh lemon juice

  • 1 part simple syrup

  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Coupe Glass

Mix all in shaker, shake very well over ice until cold. Strain into glass.


Key Lime Pie Martini

  • 2 parts Stoli Vanil vodka

  • 2 parts KeKe Beach Key Lime Cream Liqueur

  • 1/2 part fresh lime juice

  • Ground up graham cracker crumbs (fine)

Martini Glass

Coat rim of glass with lime wedge and roll in finely ground up graham cracker crumbs to coat rim.

Mix all in shaker, shake over ice until cold. Strain into glass.


Halloweeny Lemon Drop Martini

  • 1 1/2 oz vodka

  • 1 oz limoncello

  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 1/2 oz simple syrup

  • lemon peel for garnish

Martini Glass

Shake all over ice until very cold.

Strain into martini glass, garnish with lemon peel floating in drink.


Caramel Apple Martini

  • 2 oz Berentzen Apple Liqueur

  • 1 oz Vodka

  • 2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps

Martini Glass

Add all except garnish to shaker except for garnish with large ice cubes, and shake vigorously. Strain into cocktail glass.

Be extra: Rim the glass with caramel syrup then brown sugar, garnish with an apple slice

Provençal

  • 2 oz. Lavender Gin

  • 1.25 oz. Herbes de Provence infused Dry Vermouth

  • 0.75 oz. Cointreau

  • an orange twist/peel for garnish

Coupe Glass

Add all except garnish to mixing glass except for garnish with large ice cubes, and stir for 40 revolutions. Strain into cocktail glass.

Garnish with orange peel/twist. Pairs well with salty. Stick with one of these to get the evening started.

How to Infuse Herbes de Provence with Dry Vermouth

  • 2 tbsp Herbes de Provence

  • 750 ml bottle of dry vermouth (like Noilly Prat)


Over medium heat, add the herbs to a clean saucepan and heat 2 mins/until fragrant. Next, pour in 2 cups of the vermouth and bring to a boil. Immediately remove from heat and let cool. Once cool, carefully strain out the herbs using cheesecloth and funnel liquid back into the bottle. Store in a cool, dark place. Will keep.

Aviation

  • 1.5 oz gin (like Plymouth)

  • 0.5 oz maraschino liqueur (like Luxardo)

  • 0.5 oz creme de violette

  • 0.5 oz lemon juice

  • 1 violet blossom, or pansy, or Johnny-jump-up

Old Fashioned/Coupe

Shake all except the blossom over ice and serve in a lowball/old-fashioned cocktail glass. Garnish with a flower blossom.

Water Lily Variant: Sub Triple Sec for maraschino liqueur

Bergfrue Variant: Sub Chambord for maraschino liqueur. Use local violette gin from Winter Park.

Gold Coast

  • 0.75 oz Falernum

  • 1.25 oz Aged Rum

  • 0.5 oz Triple Sec

  • 1 oz Pineapple Juice

  • 0.75 oz Lemon Juice

Old Fashioned

Shake all with crushed ice and pour into a pearl diver glass. Garnish with two pineapple leaves and a pineapple wedge.

Dirty Martini

  • 2.5 oz gin or vodka

  • 0.5 oz dry vermouth

  • 0.5 oz olive brine

  • Garnish with 2 olives

Martini Glass

Stir in mixing glass with ice. Strain into glass and garnish.


Fizzy Cocktails


Lavender French 75 - NYE

  • 1 oz Lavender-Infused Gin

  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice (juice from ~half a lemon)

  • 1/2 oz simple syrup

  • 3 oz Champagne or other sparkly

  • Garnish with a lemon twist

Wine Glass

Shake everything except the champagne and garnish over ice until cold, strain into glass. Top with champagne and garnish.


How to Infuse Gin with Lavender

  • 2 tsp dried, organic lavender

  • 1 bottle of good quality gin (1 liter)

Stove Top

Over low heat, add the lavender to a clean saucepan. Next, our in 2 cups of the gin and bring to a boil. Immediately remove from heat and let cool. Once cool, carefully strain out the lavender using cheesecloth and funnel gin back into the bottle. Store in a cool, dark place. Will keep.

Creme de Violette Spritz

  • 1 part creme de violette

  • 0.5 part fresh lime juice

  • 4 parts Prosecco

  • Twisted orange peel (garnish)

Stove Top

Fill wine glass with ice. Layer ingredients in order. Stir gently with straw. Garnish.


Coffee Cocktails


Bavarian Coffee

  • 0.5 oz Peppermint schnapps

  • 0.5 oz Coffee liqueur

  • 5 oz Hot coffee

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • Top with whipped cream

Clear Coffee Mug

Make hot coffee. Stir in sugar. Add liqueurs, stir. Top with whip cream.

Café Don Juan

  • 0.75 oz Dark rum

  • 1 oz Coffee liqueur

  • 5 oz Hot coffee

  • Rim glass w/ lemon juice and sugar

  • Sweeten with sugar to taste

  • Top with whip cream

Clear Coffee Mug

Rim glass with lemon juice and sugar.

Make hot coffee. Stir in sugar. Add liqueurs, stir. Top with whip cream.

Spanish Coffee

  • 0.5 oz vanilla coffee liqueur

  • 0.5 oz rum

  • 1 cup hot coffee

  • Top with whipped cream and a cherry

Clear Coffee Mug

Make hot coffee. Stir in sugar. Add booze, stir. Top with whip cream and cherry.

Espresso Martini

  • 1.5 oz coffee liqueur

  • 1 oz vodka

  • 1 oz espresso

Martini Glass

Shake over ice and strain.

Iced Paradise

  • 6 oz Iced Coffee

  • 1 oz Spiced Rum

  • 1 oz Butterscotch Schnapps

  • Add sugar to taste. Top with whipped cream

Tall Glass

Combine in glass with ice and stir. Add sugar to taste. Top with whipped cream.

Woo Woo!

  • 1 oz Vodka

  • 1/2 oz Peach Schnapps

  • 1/2 oz Cranberry Juice

Shot Glass

Shake over ice until cold, strain into shot glass.


Rocket Fuel

  • Bacardi 151

  • Green Margarita Mix

  • Dry Ice


Mix 50-50 in a container that can tolerate extreme cold.

Serve as shots (beware of extremely cold temperatures...)
